A Day Late…
by Gail
Yes, I know I am a day late posting this, but the fireworks didn’t go off until after nine o’clock last night and we didn’t get home until nearly midnight. It was a beautiful night with young children spread about our family’s big blanket. Mostly our friends’ children. Some napping, some holding small frogs and giggling, some just lying there in awe of the magical light show in the sky.

That is a fantastic picture! My husband is a pyrotechnician, and I love photography, which sounds like a great combination, but I take terrible fireworks shots. Yours turned out very nice. Well done!

Thanks. I really wasn’t prepared to take pictures of the fireworks that evening, since I didn’t even think to bring along my tripod. I ended up using my husband’s shoulder to steady my camera. I thought these particular fireworks were nice when they broke open into a neat star-shaped design.
